Meet Stanford Academy

Stanford Academy is a small-town school located right outside Olsztyn in Wójtowo. It is owned and operated by an American native, Amber (Nikki) Nowotka. We offer courses on various levels and on a broader range of subjects etc. military, medical, legal, business (both local and international), IT, and many others. We also have a focus group specifically for under 18 children. Our language school is known for its unique teaching methods, often involving students working together in small groups to learn new material. The school also emphasizes using the target language in everyday situations, as opposed to relying heavily on textbooks. All students get to use the language through debatable content, original materials prepared strictly for their needs, and also an open environment. Additionally, the school encourages students to get to know one another. Each month, students in primary school, are assigned a presentation that at the end of the month they are to present to the class. This in turn builds their confidence in speaking in front of others, their creativity with the language, and their knowledge skills when it comes to questioning. Teens are taught how to conduct themselves in the business world and around others in a natural setting. They are taught various subjects such as multiple cultures, CV building, taxes, writing a formal inquiry, preparing presentations for multiple reasons, and of course how to travel within the business world and also for pleasure. Stationary classes are taught by natives and online classes are taught by both native speakers and Poles. Throughout the year there are ongoing celebrations within the primary school classes which also include Halloween, Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day, World History day, Science Day, and Dr. Seuss Day.
